Although the hours of operation are limited and it was closed when I arrived the grounds are publicly accessable. I spent about a half hour strolling the area and enjoying the old buildings.
For true history buffs, the grounds are believed to be where Conrad Weiser lived but most of the structures there were built long after his passing.
There are prominent mentions of this on the grounds and they don't claim to be the original settlement.
It's a very nice area for a short visit with several interesting sights.
This property is smaller that I expected. It has buildings including the visitor center, a large grassy area, and a garden center. This is a great place to walk around, and check out the buildings and trees. I saw some people having a picnic there. The property is very clean and spacious. This place is dogfriendly.
Didn't realize this historic homestead and beautiful grounds were only an hour away. Everything is free. A lovely place to learn some history, have a picnic or book your event. I definitely will be returning.
The park has several places to take pictures. Its spring time an we were there on 4/20/23 it was beautiful.
My family and I were in the area so we decided to stop by. The "office" was closed so we just took a stroll on the grounds and it was really upkept and beautiful. Check it out if you're in the area, there is great photoshoot potential here We also came across someone doing a small gender reveal. very lovey area.
Nice place to visit! If you are a descendant of Conrad Weiser, I would even recommend this place more.
A cool place to take pictures at for no cost, whether its couple, family or group photos. Love the old stone and wood buildings, so cute and neatly kept after. The pond could use some help though.
The homestead is very quit and beautiful. Always love going here for pictures
We went there when they had one of their charter days with reenactments and. Dressed people... It was great , really a living history lesson !!
